The U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) was established in 2007 and now operates across 54 African nations. Despite claims of partnership and counter-terrorism, AFRICOM has fueled instability, enabled coups, and imposed U.S. corporate and strategic interests at the expense of African lives and sovereignty.
BAP’s U.S. Out of Africa / Shut Down AFRICOM campaign builds an international coalition of Africans in Africa and the diaspora demanding the withdrawal of all U.S. military forces, the closure of all U.S. bases, and an end to proxy warfare across the continent.
Our Demands
Shut Down AFRICOM
Close the U.S. Africa Command and withdraw all U.S. military forces from the African continent.
End Drone Warfare in Africa
U.S. drone strikes in Somalia, Libya, and beyond kill civilians and violate African sovereignty. End them immediately.
No U.S. Bases in Africa
The U.S. maintains dozens of military installations across Africa. Every one of them must be closed.
Reparations for U.S. Military Harm
