The Zone of Peace campaign demands that the United States recognize the right of all nations in the Americas and Caribbean to self-determination, free from military coercion, illegal sanctions, and regime-change operations directed from Washington.
Inspired by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) declaration of the Americas as a Zone of Peace, BAP organizes within the United States to build popular opposition to SOUTHCOM, the Monroe Doctrine, and U.S. interference in Haiti, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, and beyond.
Our Demands
End the Occupation of Haiti
No to Kenyan-led multinational forces operating under U.S. direction. Haiti's sovereignty must be respected.
Lift All Sanctions on Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua
Unilateral coercive measures are collective punishment against civilian populations. Lift them now.
Dismantle U.S. SOUTHCOM
The U.S. Southern Command coordinates military operations and intelligence throughout the Americas. It must be shut down.
Close Guantanamo Bay
End the illegal U.S. occupation of Cuban territory and shut down the detention facility at Guantanamo.
